Why much of your defence system is regulated through the gut
You will understand how the microbiota and intestinal lining help recognise threats, maintain the body’s barriers, and prevent uncontrolled immune responses.
Online workshop
Do you catch colds often, have low vitamin D, and search every year for something to ‘boost your defences’? You may take probiotics, reishi, vitamins, or different remedies when cold season begins. Perhaps you improve for a while, but get ill again and still do not understand why your body seems so vulnerable. The immune system is not strengthened by one capsule. It also depends on your microbiota, the nutrients your body receives, how you sleep, your stress levels, and the habits you repeat each day. This workshop will help you understand how your defences are really built and what you can start caring for instead of searching for isolated solutions every time you get ill.
Is it for you?
Content
You will understand how the microbiota and intestinal lining help recognise threats, maintain the body’s barriers, and prevent uncontrolled immune responses.
You will learn about vitamin D, zinc, selenium, vitamin A, antioxidants, and omega-3 fats in immune function.
You will learn how food, microbiota diversity, stress, exercise, and rest influence you, and why no product can compensate for neglected foundations.
You will also discover what butyrate is, why it helps maintain the intestinal barrier, and how food can support its production.
This is not about making your defences ‘stronger’ at any cost, but about supporting a balanced immune response that protects you without keeping your body constantly inflamed.

Who teaches the workshop
I am Mahy, the person behind Oryzae. I take an integrative approach to health, bringing together nutrition, digestion, the nervous system, habits, and context.
I created this workshop after seeing many people who get ill frequently and try vitamins, probiotics, or immune remedies without anyone explaining how microbiota, nutrition, and everyday habits connect.
