I am Mahy, the person behind Oryzae.

I found my way to this approach after understanding something that now underpins everything I do:

Health cannot be explained through a single answer.

Food matters. A lot.

But it does not explain everything.

The body also reflects what is happening through digestion, rest, the nervous system, hormones, habits, history, and the life each person can sustain.

That is why my work is not about giving you another isolated recommendation, but about helping you see the whole picture, organise the information, and understand what makes sense to do first.

My journey

Where this perspective comes from

Before working in integrative health, I studied Social Work. That period deeply shaped the way I see people: no one can be understood outside their history, context, and current stage of life.

Later I discovered the macrobiotic perspective and its understanding of food as part of caring for health. It opened up a whole new way of looking at health, but over time I also saw its limits.

I needed a more current, physiological, and rigorous foundation so I would not remain with abstract concepts, quick fixes, or recommendations that are difficult to apply in real life.

That is why I began training in integrative health, the microbiome, digestive health, the nervous system, trauma-informed nutrition, autoimmunity, and other areas that helped me build a fuller, less reductionist perspective.

Oryzae comes from all of that: listening, study, experience, and one clear idea.

Many people arrive with too many scattered recommendations and too little clarity. My work is to help you understand what is happening, set priorities, and translate it into something understandable and applicable.

For me, support means listening well, explaining clearly, and suggesting changes that can fit into your real life.

Training and experience

A practice grounded in ongoing study and professional development

My work is based on years of training and continued learning in integrative health, nutrition, the microbiome, digestive health, the nervous system, habits, and supporting people through health processes.

It is not an improvised method. It comes from study, practice, and a perspective that has matured over the years.
