Skin as a reflection of your health

Have you tried creams, treatments, and products, but your skin keeps reacting without you understanding why? You may have acne, dermatitis, redness, itching, or increasingly sensitive skin. You may have changed cosmetics, seen different specialists, or spent a lot on products, yet the flare-ups keep returning. This workshop will help you understand why skin does not function in isolation and which factors in the body may be affecting its balance.

Is it for you?

This workshop may help if…

  • Your skin improves for a while, then reacts again without you understanding what changed.
  • You have tried many products or treatments and feel you are only acting on the symptom.
  • You notice that stress, your menstrual cycle, food, or sleep affect your flare-ups.
  • You live with acne, dermatitis, itching, or reactive skin and no longer know what else to try.
  • You want to care for your skin from a wider perspective without abandoning dermatological treatment when it is needed.

Content

What you will understand

Why skin is not an isolated organ

You will understand how it relates to the nervous and immune systems, hormones, metabolism, and the microbiota.

What may encourage flare-ups and sensitivity

We will look at stress, blood sugar, inflammation, hormonal changes, sleep, nutrition, and the state of the skin barrier.

Why more products do not always mean healthier skin

You will understand how too many active ingredients, exfoliants, or harsh cleansers can weaken the barrier and make skin more reactive.

You will not find a miracle solution or one explanation for every skin problem. You will take away a fuller view to recognise which factors may be involved and decide what deserves attention first.

Who teaches the workshop

An integrative, contextual approach

I am Mahy, the person behind Oryzae. I take an integrative approach to health, bringing together nutrition, digestion, the nervous system, habits, and context.

I created this workshop after seeing many people spend years trying to care for their skin only from the outside, without anyone explaining how other body systems could influence it.
